Premium invite vs Normal invite on TikTok LIVE Backstage

When an eligibility check finds that your agency can invite a creator, it tells you which kind of invitation your Backstage offers: Premium invite or Normal invite. Here is what that result means, and what it does not.

Two invitation types, two allowances

Backstage keeps premium and normal invitations as separate allowances on your agency's account. When you check creators, Scout Tools shows how many of each your account has left, for example “18 normal · 4 premium”.

The result for a creator tells you which type Backstage offers your agency for that creator. It is not a score of the creator, and the checker does not choose the type.

How the checker decides between Premium and Normal

The checker first asks Backstage about the whole batch. For each creator Backstage reports as available, it then opens the invite in your Backstage and reads the type shown there, and cancels without sending anything.

That second step exists because the first, fast answer is not a reliable signal of the invite type on its own. Reading the invite screen gives the same label you would see if you invited the creator yourself.

What to do with each result

  • Premium invite: shortlist the creator, and check your premium invitations left before you plan outreach.
  • Normal invite: shortlist the creator; your normal invitations are a separate count.
  • Either result: you can run the optional affiliate-risk check first if you want to see the invite warning before reaching out.

What this result does not tell you

TikTok does not publish the exact rules behind each invitation type, and we do not guess them. The checker reports what your Backstage shows at the moment of the check. If you check again later, the answer can change.

Questions

Can the same creator be Premium for one agency and Normal for another?

The result comes from the agency's own Backstage, so two agencies can see different results for the same creator.

Does the checker use up an invitation?

No. It never sends an invite, so your invitations left do not go down because of a check.
